Dew Drop Inn
Having been recently taken over by The Galway Bay Brewery, The Dew Drop now qualifies as one of Galway’s best craft beer venues. Don’t worry they haven’t touched the Guinness taps too. Now the Dew Drop is a local with a difference offering the best selection of beers available in the Latin Quarter. Favourites drank here include Full Sail and they play host to rotational taps too. There is a smoking area to the rear and a great space upstairs for get togethers. They show live sport throughout and have seating available outside too.

McGinn’s HopHouse
Located in Woodquay Fergus and his team have rejuvenated this place into a fantastic destination of choice. They offer a vast selection of craft beers, they have 24 craft options on tap and bottles of beer and cider too. They serve nice wine and offer a nice selection of spirits. If you’re looking for tastings they do beer flights where you pick three beers to sample. This place is all about hospitality and knowledge. Fergus is no stranger to the pub scene having leased some of Galway’s best venues he brings a good following with him to his latest venture. This is a great place to catch up with friends or watch sports. They serve food fired favourites daily too.

Salt House
Located in Galway’s Westend the Salt House offer over 120 different craft beers, they also have a vast selection of premium spirits too choose from and a carefully selected wine menu. The Salt House staff know a thing or two about craft beers so you know your in good hands. They offer a variety of entertainment including board games and live music. There are 23 taps and at least 10 of these rotate so your always in for a surprise tasting opportunity.

The Blue Note
The Blue Note is a bit of an institution in Galway, they even managed to get their disco ball sponsored. Located in the heart of Galway’s Westend since 1994 they offer a great selection of craft brews available inhouse and to takeaway too. They offer a great selection of guest beers from some of Ireland’s top breweries and offer intriguing whiskey too. There is a hatch welcoming take away for the past few years.

Caribao
Caribou is not just a craft beer pub, it has evolved into a destination and lifestyle choice for some. Winning accolades such as craft beer bar of the year this bar has it all. They have a massive selection of craft choices to enjoy and also serve craft cocktails and premium spirits too. Epic food is served daily such as loaded fries and burgers. If your headed the Woodquay direction be sure to pop in for some tasty recommendations from their sound staff. Theres a smoking area to the rear too.

Bierhaus
One of Galway’s original craft bars the Bierhaus was established in 2005 and are still going strong. They have a huge selection of craft beers and ciders. They also serve speciality cocktails and wine too. Their sound system (funktion one of course) is never left to dust. They bring an amazing selection of DJs from Ireland and afar. They offer food too, they have been known as a destination of choice for the odd pop up kitchen.
